Going on hiatus....
I wish I had more note-worthy events to post on here, but considering I have like one reader. I may just shut this little gem down for a while until my life is more exciting. So, until then I am putting this blog on hiatus. It's not that my life is not note-worthy, it's just A LOT has gone on in the past couple months/weeks and I need time to digest the drama with my family and the things that have gone on with me that I have not even told my best friends about. So the one reader who reads this I apologize for being so vague but it is just A LOT to deal with...

Sort of updates and the C-Blocking Baby...
I suck at updates. Really I do. But in my
defense I have had A LOT on my plate... What with giving birth and trying to
get my body back into its pre-baby form and all. Little baby Jade.. Who is
now teething which means I am no longer
breast feeding…. FYI it’s an AWESOME calorie burner.
Anyway, I spent most of May in the Land of Oz,
to see Aussie mom and dad and so they could see their granddaughter. Who is if
I may say so myself the most BEAUTIFUL baby EVER!! Now due to some issues I was
having in my own down under I had to have a C-Section which I’ve only been cut
open one other time and that was for an emergency appendectomy when I was 16—SUPER
FUN!! Anyway, due to the surgery I was
not able to get back into working out the way I used to. Sure I could walk, but
I couldn’t run or do zumba… (sigh) and that meant no sex for at least 6 weeks
(or even longer depending on how comfortable I was or wasn’t) needless to say
our sex-life took a nose dive. Even when we were in Australia and Aussie mom
took Jade for a couple days so Mal and me could just be together… did we have
sex? Nope we spent more time sleeping than anything else. Now as far as Jadey
sleeping through the night we got super lucky, the first week she was home was
a little rough, but after that she was sleeping between 5-6 hours a night… I
WISH I could sleep that many hours. Anyway, back to my sex rant, when I finally
gave Mal the green light for my comfort level the baby decided to wake up, when
Mal or myself would get up to check on her she’d hit the snooze button on the
screaming and just look at you like “What? I didn’t say anything.” GRRR. For
months I was cock-blocked by my own spawn… And FINALLY earlier this week it
happened… I won’t go into details but I celebrated by having a burger from
Whataburger. Now if only I could work on not giggling like a school girl after
I orgasm that would be GREAT. Stupid endorphins….
Anyway since I don’t have A LOT else to talk
about here is a survey!! Maybe next week I will post about the Birth and
the trip to Australia, I have them typed
out I just need to locate them and post them… I suck…
1. If you could live anywhere in the world for
one year, with all of your expenses paid, where would you live?: I’d have to say Sunshine Coast Australia…. It’s
AMAZING.
2. What is your favorite musical? Or do you not like musicals?: My favorite musical? Toss up between Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and Gypsy….
3. Are you better at singing or dancing?: Dancing… which I miss tons. Not to mention having my dance body back.
4. If you had the choice of getting dressed up and going out on the town or staying home in your PJ's on the couch, which would you choose?: It depends on what is on TV…. You gotta pick your battles man.
5. If you could win an Olympic gold medal in any sport, what would it be?: Oh gosh…. Maybe texting?
6. What is your weirdest or most annoying habit?: I tend to chew on cuticle on my thumbs… I’m working on not doing it so much…. That and popping my knuckles and ankles.
7. Tell us about your first best friend.: My first best friend was/is Karin. She and I met way, way, way back in 1989 when my mom took us to see Oliver & Company. We’ve been super close ever since.
8. What is your favorite show on TV right now?: Bridezillas….
9. What is your favorite show from the "old school" TGIF or Nick at Nite days?: I’d have to say either Full House OR Step by Step.
10. What is your favorite season of the year, and why?: Fall/Winter… I love the smell of the cold air and I like being able to wear hoodies and sweaters…
11. Do you have any pets? If so, what are their names and what kind of animal(s) are they?: We have a cat, Dexter (who in winter is the size of a Fur Seal pup) and an Aussie shepherd mix named Winnie.

Oh Dear Lord...
I am unemployed, but I have been told it's perfectly OK because I have a lot of things going on both outside my body as well as in. And as of a week ago I have been put on bed rest for the remainder of my gestational period (3 more weeks--hopefully!). So, I spend my days watching assorted DVDs, or my collection of Sex & the City DVDs, but recently I was given the gift of Instant Netflix (thank you Aussie) and today... I spent the better part of the day watching SOA and a documentary on Oceans... Yep. This is my life now. Although I do have 2 new books I could and should read... But have yet to do so. The closest thing I have picked up remotely book-like has been last year's September issue of Vogue and InStyle. Then I get pissed because I can't wear/afford the clothes featured in the magazines so, I go back to watching TV with the occasional nap in between reruns of Everyday Italian and Tabatha's Salon Take Over.
But, that's irrelevant... This blog was geared toward my frustration with my mom, but I have PB and ramble on about useless crap sometimes....
ANYWAY, last month my baby sister got married (yay for her-whatever) well now that everything (for the most part) is back to normal the feud between my hormonal self and my menopausal mother continues.. Basically my mother has been less than supportive about my pregnancy, I'm pretty sure it stems from that whole "A baby out of wedlock is a sin..."I have yet to find that passage in any bible... My mom tends to judge people right off the bat. She'll never say this but I know she isn't fond of Mal-I'm not sure if it's the age gap (yet my sister's husband is nearly 10 years her senior), maybe she doesn't like his accent (WTF?!) or maybe she is worried once he and I get married I'm going to pack up and move across the globe and she won't get to see her granddaughter.. who the hell knows.
I do know this, if she keeps upsetting me this baby is going to make an appearance a lot sooner than we had anticipated. I'm hoping after my doctor's appointment I can have some time to just breathe and relax.
